UFA/MOSCOW, Jun 1 (PRIME) -- Russia will spend about 500 billion rubles from budgets of all levels to fight the coronavirus, comparable to spending on an upgrade program for primary healthcare, Healthcare Minister Mikhail Murashko said in an online conference on May 30.
“We plan that total spending to fight the coronavirus infection from all budgets will amount to about 500 billion rubles, it is a significant sum that is comparable … to the entire program for upgrade of the primary medical healthcare,” he said.
The government said in a statement that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a ruling that medical personnel who work with the coronavirus patients in private medical centers would be able to receive stimulation payments from the government. Previously, only personnel of state-owned or municipal clinics were able to receive the payments.
Mishustin also ordered the heads of Russia’s regions to ensure that medical workers receive the payments as soon as possible.
